Is Perfection Better?

Everyone of us at some point in our life would make every effort to improve- ourselves, our work, everything. So perfection is the eventual goal that we had in mind. Is that not the case?

Well, I am not so sure. If everything is perfect then what would define us? We would all look alike, have the same likeable personality and character. There is value in being different because a slight blemish is what make something more desirable. What many people define as perfect may lead to replicates and the world would be such a boring place to live in !! That is what I thought, in my humble opinion.

Be it work, food or people it seems. Patronize a store and expecting the food to taste the same, plastic surgery to improve your looks etc.

Let’s talk more on the above examples. The favourite restaurant you patronize will taste a little different each time you have your meal and it stir up a different feeling each time. It gets a little boring if it taste the same every single time right? That is why stores would come up with new menu, new recipes. Going under the knife and altering your looks does not improve your personality or character. It is the willingness to try something whether you succeed or not that defines your character.

I think the old lady in the pic below is perfection. I took this picture while I was on holiday in Japan. To have a jest for life and exploring her surroundings at such an old age !!

the good old days.

I was clearing up the folders in my PC, when I came across some pics which goes all the way back to 2006 ! It was amazing seeing my transition from student to working life. My hair has undergo several minor changes, my dress sense has change as well ( from t-shirt and mini-skirts, to dresses plus jeans and more daring shades of colours I must say)!
